En 2017, avec la sortie de son premier album Polaar, Maud Geffray – par ailleurs moitié du duo Scratch Massive – faisait un pas de côté en solo imposant son univers fascinant et flottant, mélancolique et élégiaque. Commencé composé et achevé au cours des deux dernières années, son deuxième album Ad Astra s'impose comme un album d’électro décomplexée passant de l'expérimental au tube avec la même aisance et décontraction affirmant son parti pris pop que ce soit au travers des morceaux dansants et grisants ou contemplatifs et mélancoliques tout en laissant éclater des bulles d’énergie et de mélancolie de jeunesse et d'innocence en suspension sur le dancefloor.
