Hip Dozer Vol.5

Back in 2015, when we started Hip Dozer we were overwhelmed by the amount of talents that were still defending that old school way of doing beats and the amazing creativity that was circulating in the scene.

In a period of time where hip hop was evolving so much and getting always further (sometimes for the best but also for the worst), it appeared evident to us that we had to defend this rising scene of young beatmakers that were so tied up to the roots of the 'old-school' beatmaking but still bringing it to another level.

It has been 5 years since we have created Hip Dozer Records with our 1st Anniversary compilation and this is what makes this compilation such a special project every time. Its goal remains the same and will always be, championing the art of beatmaking that we love and help to showcase new artists from the scene.

This year we have the chance to have onboard some of our favorite new talent from the scene with the like of Burrito Brown, Loland, Imagiro, we also have the chance to have standard bearers like Jinsang, Saib, Flofilz, Melodisinfonie, Kazam, Shuko and, cherry on the cake, the french hip hop legend DJ Cam on top of that.

We want to thank so much all the artists who took part in this project and that were as enthusiastic as we are in its realization. It’s been such a thrill since this venture started and this is just the beginning. Much love to all of you guys listening and supporting wherever you are.

En 2015, lorsque nous avons lancé Hip Dozer, nous étions incroyablement surpris par la quantité de talents qui continuaient de défendre le savoir faire ‘old school’ et une méthode traditionnelle de produire des beats hip hop. L'incroyable créativité et productivité qui émanait de la scène que nous suivions depuis de nombreuses années et dans laquelle nous étions investi nous a tout naturellement conduit à la création du label.

À une époque où le hip-hop évolue tant et va toujours plus loin (parfois pour le meilleur, mais aussi pour le pire), il nous est apparu évident que nous devions défendre cette scène montante de jeunes beatmakers si attachés aux racines du beatmaking "old school", qui en respectent les codes mais qui les interpète à leur manière.

Cela fait 5 ans maintenant que le label a vu le jour avec notre première compilation anniversaire, ce qui donne à ce projet une saveur si particulière chaque année. L'objectif du projet reste et restera le même, nous voulons défendre l'art du beatmaking que nous aimons et aider à faire connaître les nouveaux artistes de la scène.

Cette année nous avons une fois de plus la chance d’accueillir la fine fleur des têtes montantes de la scène avec des talents comme Burrito Brown, Loland ou Imagiro, nous avons aussi la chance d’avoir des titres inédits de porte étendards tels que Jinsang, Saib, Flofilz, Mélodisinfonie, Kazam ou Shuko et cerise sur le gateeau, la légende du beatmaking à la française DJ Cam nous fait l’honneur de prendre part à ce nouvel opus.

Nous tenons à remercier tous les artistes qui ont participé à ce projet et qui ont été aussi enthousiastes que nous dans sa réalisation. C’est un immense plaisir pour nous de travailler avec eux depuis le début de cette aventure. Nous tenons bien sûr également à remercier du fond du coeur tous ceux qui nous écoutent et nous supportent où qu'ils soient.
